Jackson Brothers of the North has steadily been embracing Micro-Markets with our larger customers. We don’t see vending machines disappearing from the landscape any time soon, but many customers have enjoyed the transition to an open market shopping experience.

The newest addition of frictionless shopping comes in the form of Amazon’s Just Walk Out Technology. Jackson Brothers of the North is proud to be one of the first Canteen Franchises in the country to have implemented JWO technology. The opening of Tailwinds Market and Café at COU in Columbia, Missouri marks a new era in self-service retail for JBN. While most of our markets are closed to the public, Amazon JWO offers the ability to serve the public directly, while offering the same great service our customers have grown to expect.

New Service

We have always strived to be on the cutting edge of new technology offerings, and the JWO technology is no different. We look forward to navigating this new era of shopping experience for our long-term customers, in addition to marketing some of our great products directly to the public. We look forward to offering our services to customers in the Mid-Missouri area.

Tailwinds Market & Café allows JBN the opportunity to showcase some of Mid-Missouri brands. We also support local businesses with special projects. Vintage Aviation will be the major theme as one of the co-owners is an aviation enthusiast, private pilot, and veteran. You’ll also be able to see the teams we support on our large screen TV’s and in our décor. We welcome all travelers at COU to shop with us while we wait for the addition of our café.
